Message from Mr. Marshall
Dear Webster Stanley Families and Friends,
I hope you all had a relaxing spring break last week. This is another reminder that Forward Testing begins this week with our 8th graders on Wednesday, April 7 and Thursday, April 8 from 8:30-10:30. All grades will then be testing next week, April 13th and April 15th from 8:30-10:30. Please make sure your student is here and on time. Also, help them get a good night’s rest the night before and eat a nutritious breakfast. This will help testing run as smoothly as possible.
Election Day is Tuesday, April 6. Be sure to get out and vote for city council, school board, and other local and state races that are on the ballot. If you have any questions about who’s on the ballot, where your voting precinct is located, or the status of your voter registration visit this link: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ “My Vote Wisconsin.”
Enjoy the spring weather!
Mr. Marshall
Note From The Nurse
Dear Parents and Students:
The Webster Health Office appreciates your effort and honesty in helping us keep COVID at bay.
Here are some things your school nurses are asking you to do to help us keep school as safe as possible:
Notify us if you are currently under quarantine or isolation (marni.depeau@oshkosh.k12.wi.us) april.young@oshkosh.k12.wi.us
Continue to monitor your student’s health by using the OASD Student Daily Health Screen
If you are able to answer “yes” to any of the questions, DO NOT send your child or their siblings to school. Please notify the school that your child and siblings will be absent and state the reason for staying home.
We will call you to determine a return to school date. This is a new part of our job this year that can feel very invasive. We have to call and ask questions regarding your child’s health. Your cooperation will help us to follow the guidelines and continue to keep the doors open for in person learning.
Don't send your child to school if anyone in your house:
- is waiting for Covid test results
- has a positive test result
- is having symptoms consistent with Covid.
Update your Infinite Campus contact information so we can get a hold of you if your children need to be picked up from school. If you can not do it yourself, please contact your school’s front office.
Understand our team of covid contact tracers receive guidance from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and the Winnebago County Public Health Department. At this time, OASD continues to practice 14 day quarantines to ensure student and staff safety in our schools during this pandemic.
If you have questions or concerns please contact me: marni.depeau@oshkosh.k12.wi.us

6th grade Science update:
We will be starting on the structure and properties of matter after spring break. We did an introduction lab already to practice our lab safety skills while doing a bit of chemistry. I was very impressed with the following: students wore their safety goggles/glasses correctly during the experiment, the directions were followed, and students moved around the room safely.
March is Women's History Month. We learned about the technology and science contributions of Grace Hopper, Reatha Clark King and Chien-Shiung Wu. There are many great sites online that provide information. These articles are worth a read: Meet 10 Women in Science, and 10 Historic Female Scientists.
I am really enjoying this group of sixth graders. Happy Spring!
